Yo, This Gameplay's Fire

What if we take a JRPG and keep only the gameplay?

A roguelike JRPG. Pick your party and tear through enemies in turn-based combat loaded with elemental damage, status effects,  and game-changing passives. Kill mobs, level up your party, draft new skills, snag loot, equip it. Lather, rinse, repeat.

Why does this game exist?

Because The Meme Was Right, It's Fun

They were right. The gameplay can be fun even if it's only, text, options and numbers! This game is here to prove that!

To Deliver A 60 hour experience in 30 minutes

To have the full gameplay experience of a JRPG (high level characters, complex combat decisions, long turn sequences) you have to play a lot. More if you want to try out endgame stuff.

This game intends to deliver that complete JRPG gameplay experiencee in under 30 minutes.

If playing late game JRPG gameplay without playing for hundreds of hours sounds like something you've always wanted (but maybe didn't know it!) then try this game out!

Current State

This is an early gameplay prototype. Art and polish are minimal by design — the focus is entirely on the combat loop and progression feel. If you want to see raw, JRPG combat mechanics in action, this is for you.

We are looking for feedback on game feel and pacing! So commenting your thoughts below is much appreciated!
